Welcome to Ministry of Information and Strategy, Adamawa State

The official gateway to the government’s information and communication hub. Our ministry is responsible for managing the flow of information between the government and the public, as well as promoting the state’s development goals and strategies.

The Ministry of Information is one of the statutory Ministries of the Adamawa State Government. It’s charged with the responsibility of publicizing and disseminating Information as well as enlightening the citizenry on policies, programmes and activities of the State Government. It is the main public relations organ of the state Government with regards to Information management.

The Ministry of Information and Strategy has gone through various changes over the years. It was once the Ministry of Information, Youth and Sports. It was also at one-time Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism. presently it is known as the Ministry of Information and Strategy.

The Strategy component was introduced by a Resolution of the State Executive Council in the year 2015 To address the “Cross-Cutting” operations of the Ministry that affect the functions of other Ministries and Departments of Government. The Strategy component is to address the strategic needs of Adamawa citizens particularly Concerning contemporary challenges or day-to-day existence.

We are committed to:

Capacity Building. Training of Management Staff and other Professional Staff in the area of ICT and the New Media including the distribution of ICT facilities
Peace Building. The Ministry had to respond to the issues of Suicide Bombings, Boko Haram attacks and Communal clashes as a deliberate, planned and sustained strategic objective
Recovery Efforts. Support for post-conflict recovery efforts was a core objective of the Ministry.
Deepening Democracy is also a core objective of the Ministry
Promoting the Visibility of Government and key functionaries is another strategic objective of the Ministry.

The core Mandate of the Ministry is to inform and mobilize the people of Adamawa about what goes on in Government and to send feedback from the people to the Government. The Ministry equally strives to provide a window to the citizens to know what goes on Government and their environment.
