The SSG Visits State Hajj Commission to Monitor Readiness for Airlift to Saudi Arabia

On May 31, 2024, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Awwal D. Tukur, made a pivotal visit to the Adamawa State Hajj Commission to monitor and evaluate the readiness of the Commission for the upcoming airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. This visit underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj pilgrimage for all participants.

During his visit, the SSG was received by the Chairman of the State Hajj Commission, along with other senior officials. The SSG’s inspection aimed to assess the comprehensive preparations undertaken by the Commission, including logistical arrangements, travel documentation, health and safety protocols, and the overall welfare of the pilgrims.

In his address, Barr. Awwal D. Tukur emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and coordination to facilitate a hassle-free pilgrimage experience. He lauded the efforts of the Hajj Commission in organizing and managing the various aspects of the pilgrimage, and reiterated the government’s support in ensuring that all necessary resources and assistance are provided.

The Chairman of the Hajj Commission provided a detailed briefing on the current state of preparations, highlighting the readiness of the facilities and services required for the airlift. Barr. Awwal D.
